About Umpohliew Wines
Founded in 2020, Umpohliew Wines is one of the first artisanal fruit wineries to come out of Shillong. We combine traditional Khasi Hills knowledge of fruit fermentation with modern winemaking technique, using produce sourced directly from local growers across Meghalaya. Every bottle carries the identity of Northeast India, not an imitation of European wine, but a wine culture of its own.
